What is at stake

Two massive solar farms: SIDE BY SIDE!
Together they almost totally block
off the top of a 1000 year old wood
and totally obliterate the quality of truly ancient walks accessed by a very wide community from as far away as Lincoln, Derby and Tamworth.

Ancient Wood Threatened

A 1000 year old wood and wildlife will be impacted by a massive solar industrialization zone (SiZ). Help us protect YOUR precious countryside from being carpeted with 3m high solar panels, & 2.4m high UNSCREENED steel fences over an area the size of 159 football pitches. It will become a prison yard walk.

Fences across the top of Bunny Old Wood AND alond ALL the footpaths will be 2.4m unscreened +CCTV

Wildlife Migration

The proposed solar industrial zones will disrupt natural paths of larger mammals, such as deer and badgers forcing them to migrate towards major roads instead of their usual routes to nearby woods. Help us prevent this. Endangered skylarks will lose a home too.

About Us

We are a community dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of Bunny Old Wood, the Midshires Way and its surroundings. Our goal is to STOP the construction of a second massive solar industrial zone that would disrupt the natural habitat and migration patterns of people and wildlife. By raising awareness we aim to protect this +1000 year wood and its history for future generations.
